About Me

Hi, I’m Kay!

Following many years of organising events and conferences in not-for-profit sectors, despite being so lucky that I was following my passions for helping and connecting with people on important issues, I still felt as though something was missing in terms of capturing my creative spark. Only after planning my own wedding did it dawn upon me that wedding planning and styling was a profession and that this was my dream job. I enlisted with The Wedding Academy to become a recognised wedding professional, enhancing my knowledge and becoming part of a wonderful international community. Taking my love for wine and vineyards and my interest in all things rustic, I realised my niche would be bringing vineyard inspired rustic charm.

I have over 15 years experience in administration, events and marketing, whereby I have developed my organisational skills, execution and presentation skills, and understanding of customer needs. People like to describe me as having a meticulous attention-to-detail, and a warm and friendly approach with an infectious smile (I dare you to take the test and see if you can resist!), I know these are important qualities in a wedding planner. Along with my acquired wedding industry knowledge, I can help you bring your ideas to life whilst providing a smooth and enjoyable wedding planning journey.

Although from the West Midlands originally, I am now based in West Kirby on the Wirral, following four years in London. I live with my husband, Jack, and we love going for walks along the beach, taking in nature. We are definitely foodies, enjoying a good meal with delicious food and pairing it with a wonderful wine! Indeed, we chose to have our honeymoon in Sicily, where our favourite moments were spent sitting in the sunshine, drinking wine and eating cheese (amongst other scrumptious delicacies!) and taking in the beautiful scenery of the vines.

For me, the best things about our wedding day were being surrounded by our friends and family, enjoying lovely food and wine. I also must confess that I loved lapping up all the enthusiastic attention given to our extra touches that helped give the day a distinct and special feel, such as incorporating cork and other vineyard/rustic materials into our wedding decor – there’s many things you can do! I’d love to help you create your rustic or vineyard vision which will make you and your guests feel they are transported to another place.

Fun facts about me:

  • I love penguins! And I have photographic evidence that the feeling is mutual (whilst dressed as a penguin at London Zoo…on my Hen-do)!
  • I lived in Australia for a year and even spent Christmas Day with a famous Australian Hollywood Celebrity and his family. (I might have been serving Christmas dinner, but I think it still counts)!
  • I’m a tennis fan and have it on my bucket list to get to all four Grand Slams. (I’ve managed to tick off two so far)!
  • I enjoy learning Ballroom and Latin dancing, my favourite dance being the Tango!
  • I recently took a calligraphy course (and found it so therapeutic)!
  • When my husband’s back is turned, I like to sneak in an episode of Selling Sunset (or certain Australian reality shows if I’m being really naughty)!
